Regatta preparation one month before:

It is important to set achievable goals for the season. If your goal is to do well at the Worlds, you need to focus on the preparation for that event.

Try to find out what conditions will be like when you get there. If you can't get to the venue to train before the event try to train in similar conditions. Find out if you need to gain weight or loose weight for that event. Get your race equipment ready – you should always have a fresh sail and mast!

Talk to people who raced at the venue before, to get some tips on what conditions are likely to be like. It is also very important to find comfortable accommodation, preferably near the venue, and stay with people you have a good relationship with.
